Our Story

Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. // Matthew 18:3

Reveye

Reveye (rev-ee-ay) means “to awaken” in Haitian Creole — reflecting our mission to awaken opportunity, confidence, and a love of learning in every child we serve.

Our Beginning

In March 2015, a prayer began for a school in Madian, Haiti — a response to the need for accessible, faith-centered education within the community. Over the next year this mustard seed grew into The Reveye Initiative: an educational ministry committed to fostering a love of learning. Through the invitation of the Bishop, the Lord’s provision and the generosity of our donors, we opened our school in 2016. What began with nine children quickly grew as families sought a nurturing, faith-centered environment and high-quality, accessible education for their children.

Growing Together

Today, our school serves around 45 students each year and is led by a remarkable team of local Haitian women whose leadership and dedication are at the heart of this work.

Each day, children are nourished physically and academically, formed in faith, and known by name. We walk closely with families through education, support, and relationship — growing not only a school, but a community.

Our Founder

The Reveye Initiative was founded by Meagan after she moved to Haiti in response to a call to serve and a clear need for accessible education within the community.

Her husband, Bobby, first came to Haiti on a mission trip — which is where they met — and has since become deeply involved in the work. They now live in St. Louis with their three young children and continue to support stateside operations, in close partnership with the local Haitian staff, who are the heart of this work.

Looking ahead

What began with a small prayer continues to grow in ways we could not have imagined.

We remain committed to walking alongside our students and families with steadiness, hope, and deep gratitude for the community that makes this possible.
